Phillips Farms

Phillips Farms has grown to over 200 acres since establishing itself as a small Hunterdon County farm in the mid-1800s. The family-owned farm attributes its longevity to its old-fashioned values and beliefs and its success to the quality of its products. Lisa and Marc Phillips offer Zone 7 the opportunity to distribute wonderful fruit, such as peaches, white nectarines, strawberries, raspberries, black raspberries, blackberries and sour cherries; tomatoes, such as sungolds, green, beefsteaks and mixed cherries; and other vegetables, such as shelled peas and kale.

The farm is nestled between the rolling hills of Milford near the Delaware River. Its farm stand showcases seasonal fruits, vegetables and plants, as well as the farm’s own jam and fruit spreads, in the spring, summer and fall. Phillips Farms also offers the opportunity to pick your own strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, black raspberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, and pumpkins and participates in farmers markets in New York City and Flemington.

The state of New Jersey has recognized Phillips Farms as part of the Garden State Farmland Preservation Trust Program, meaning that generations to come will be able to enjoy the benefits of fresh local produce grown in a sustainable manner. While recognizing that plant diseases, weeds, and crop-destroying insects are a very real part of farming, Phillips pledges to use pesticides only as a last resort. The farm controls pests and crop disease by using Integrated Pest Management, crop rotation, and professional crop scouts who monitor its fields and orchards, making recommendations on an as-needed basis to help minimize chemical use.
