Opened in March, 2010, Sprig & Vine is a gourmet vegan restaurant with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. It aims to showcase vegetables and surprise guests by showing them that vegan food can be exciting and creative, instead of the stereotype that vegetarian and vegan food is bland, boring and unsatisfying. Many of our customers are not even vegetarians, but recognize Sprig’s commitment to good food and service.

Chef Bio:Ross Olchvary, executive chef/owner
Ross Olchvary, who grew up in New Jersey, took an interest in cooking after he switched to a vegan diet and enjoyed the creativity involved. Before opening Sprig & Vine, he held the positions of sous chef and chef de cuisine at Horizons Vegan Restaurant in Philadelphia, during which time it received 3 bells (from Craig Laban of the Philadelphia Inquirer). Ross also cooked at the prestigious James Beard House in NYC (as the first vegan restaurant to ever cook there).
